We hold GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification for this Eco-Friendly Recycled Corduroy . That is third-party verification that the recycled content is genuine and the production process meets strict environmental and social criteria. We are also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, so the fabric is safe for direct skin contact.
The fabric is dyed and brushed. The brushing raises a soft nap on the surface, giving you that warm, comfortable feel without the cold polyester touch. And the anti-pilling treatment means the surface stays clean-looking over time.

What Makes This Eco-Friendly Recycled Corduroy Different
Let me walk you through what this fabric actually is - and what it is not.
● Where the material comes from.
This is not virgin polyester. The yarn is made from recycled PET bottles and post-industrial polyester waste. The bottles are cleaned, broken down, extruded into new fiber, and spun into yarn. The quality is consistent - you do not get weak spots or uneven texture because the recycling process is tightly controlled. We work with certified suppliers who run the material through multiple quality checks before it ever reaches our weaving looms.

● What GRS certification actually means.
GRS is not just a sticker. To get certified, the entire supply chain is audited - from the recycling facility to our factory. The auditors verify the recycled content percentage, check water and chemical usage, and review working conditions . When we say this Eco-Friendly Recycled Corduroy is GRS-certified, we mean the paperwork exists, the audits happened, and the product is trackable. We can provide the certificate on request.
● How it performs compared to virgin polyester.
This is the question we get most often. The answer is: it performs the same, sometimes better. The recycled fiber is engineered to match virgin polyester in tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and color uptake. In fact, because the recycling process creates a slightly more uniform fiber structure, some customers tell us the recycled version takes dye more evenly. The fabric holds up to daily use, does not pill, and washes well.
● What the brushing does.
The brushing process raises a fine nap on the surface. That gives you two things: a soft feel and a bit of warmth. People sitting on this fabric or wearing it do not feel that cold, slick polyester touch. It feels more like fabric, less like plastic. And because we brush after dyeing, the color stays consistent across the surface.
● What our customers are actually using it for.
The range is broad. Furniture makers use this Eco-Friendly Recycled Corduroy for sofas and armchairs - the sustainability story gives them a selling point for their showrooms. Apparel brands use it for jackets and coats - the fabric has weight and structure, and the eco angle appeals to their customers. We even have a few hotel projects using it for lobby seating, because it is durable enough for commercial use.

Production & Ordering Details
● Stock colors.
We keep 30 stock colors for this fabric, with a focus on natural, earthy tones - oatmeal, charcoal, olive, navy, rust, forest green, and several shades of brown and beige. The range works well for both upholstery and apparel.
● Custom colors.
We do custom colors as well. If you have a Pantone number, a physical reference, or even a photo of the color you want, we can match it. Our dye house runs small batches for sample approval before full production.
● Custom width.
150 cm is our standard. If your cutting patterns work better with a different width, we can adjust.
● MOQ and pricing.
Our regular MOQ is 500 meters per color. Recycled yarn costs slightly more than virgin polyester, so pricing is a bit higher - but the GRS certification and sustainability angle justify the difference. If your order volume is smaller, talk to us. We sometimes split quantities for customers testing new colors.

Delivery timeline.
From deposit confirmation to shipment, we usually deliver within 15-20 working days. This includes weaving, dyeing, brushing, finishing, and packing.
Sampling Policy
● Standard samples.
A4-size cuttings of existing stock colors are free. You just pay the shipping cost. If you have your own courier account with FedEx, DHL, or TNT, we can ship using your account.
● Custom samples.
If you want a specific color matched before you place the full order, there is a sample charge. That covers the dyeing setup and the production of a small batch. We deduct that sample charge from your final order if you go ahead with production.

FAQ
These are actual questions buyers have asked us about this Eco-Friendly Recycled Corduroy.
Q1: Is this fabric genuinely recycled, or is it just marketed that way?
A1: Genuine. We hold GRS certification for this Green Corduroy Fabric. The certification requires third-party audits of the entire supply chain - from the recycling facility to our production line. We can provide the certificate and audit documentation on request. The recycled content is verified, not just claimed.
Q2: How does recycled polyester compare to virgin polyester in terms of quality?
A2: Practically identical. The recycled fiber is engineered to match virgin polyester in strength, durability, and dye uptake. In fact, some customers tell us the recycled version takes dye more evenly because of the more uniform fiber structure. You are not sacrificing quality for sustainability with this fabric.
Q3: What is the MOQ for this fabric?
A3: Our regular MOQ is 600 meters per color. That is the standard for production runs. But we keep stock on the more popular colors, and for those, we can sometimes accept orders from 100 meters upward. For sampling, we send A4 cuttings free of charge.
Q4: What certifications do you hold for this product?
A4: We hold GRS (Global Recycled Standard), OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ISO 14001 certifications for this fabric . GRS verifies the recycled content and supply chain. OEKO-TEX confirms the fabric is free from harmful substances and safe for skin contact. ISO 14001 covers our environmental management systems. All three are third-party verified.
Q5: Can I get a physical color card?
A5: Yes - and we recommend it. Screens cannot show the texture and depth of this fabric accurately. We keep physical swatch rings for all 30 stock colors. They are free to request. You just cover the shipping fee.
Q6: Can I get a custom color matched?
A6: Absolutely, custom color matching is a service we handle all the time. Just send over your color reference-this could be an official Pantone code, a physical fabric swatch, or a well-lit photo for us to work from-and our in-house dyeing workshop will recreate the shade precisely. Custom color orders come with a small sample fee upfront, though this cost will be fully subtracted from your bulk order invoice once production gets underway.
Q7: Is this fabric suitable for commercial upholstery?
A7: Yes. The fabric is 280-300 GSM with woven construction, which holds up well to regular use. We have customers using it for hotel lobbies and restaurant seating. For heavy commercial use, we would suggest testing a sample first, but the durability is comparable to standard upholstery-grade corduroy.
Q8: How do you pack and ship this Eco-Friendly Recycled Corduroy?
A8: Our regular packing method is rolling the fabric and covering each roll with plastic film to block dust and dampness. We can also arrange custom packaging upon your request, such as carton packing, customized wrapping materials or special label printing. All our shipments are dispatched from Shanghai Port or Ningbo Port.
Q9: How do I wash and care for this fabric?
A9: Flip the fabric inside out prior to washing. Stick to cold water under 30°C and gentle laundry soap. Bleach is off-limits entirely, and skip fabric softener too-this product leaves a film over threads that will crush the fuzzy brushed surface. You can tumble dry on low heat, or hang it up to air-dry away from direct sunlight. If ironing is needed, work on the fabric's wrong side with medium heat settings.
