The fabric has a soft, napped texture and a smooth hand-feel that mimics real suede, but it is durable, washable, and much more affordable.
This is a warp-knitted fabric, typically weighing between 90 and 200 GSM. The lighter end (90-160 GSM) works well for apparel and accessories; the heavier end (160-200 GSM) is better for upholstery and home textiles. Width is typically 150-160 cm (58-60 inches), customisable.
The fabric is made from micro-denier polyester fibres – millions of fine fibres woven together to create a soft, velvety surface . Unlike genuine suede, poly suede does not sag, stretch, or show scratch marks easily. It is also tear-resistant, shrink-resistant, and easy to clean.
